Nap Time!  This is Kali. She was our second cockatiel. She's a 'Cinnamon' tiel. She was 10 weeks old when we got her, and had hardly been handled by people at all. We found her at a pet store for $20, and when I told the guy I wanted her, he opened the cage and told me to get her out. She bit the daylights out of me and I was bleeding quite freely before getting her in the box to take her home. :( We kept her in a seperate room for a couple of weeks, trying to tame her, without much success. Then one day, Gromit flew in the room, (he knew we had another birdy in there, and had been trying to get in there to see since we brought her home) landed on the cage, started singing to her, and within minutes she was climbing up my arm to visit with him. She's settled into the sweetest little birdy, still doesn't care to be petted or scritched, but loves to cuddle with us, and loves Gromit a lot!
Kali is brave and fearless, always ready to try something new, especially new food and toys. She's mama to any new bird in the house, and if any of the birdies go where they shouldn't be, she lets us know.
