Meet Nigel! We answered an add from a local breeder wanting to find a home for the last 'tiel from her last clutch. The breeder said the birdie was a female, about 6 months old. We drove up to meet her, and brought HER home and named HER Inara. But within a week or so, it was all to obvious this was not a female. He picked up *every* song and sound from ALL our other birds, and in fact does a convincing version of two tiels fighting (brought me running more than once!). He banged his beak all over the house, and was wooing ALL the girls in the first week her was her. We called him 'Chickenbutt' for a while because he couldn't keep tail feathers because he's so adventurous. He's got lots of personality, but I really wouldn't call him 'tame'. He'll let you take him out and put him back in the cage, and he'll sit on your shoulder, but he does NOT like being handled.
